Baby Steps

One of the most wonderful things that we can count on as children of God is the amount of "do overs" He gives us. By starting on the Faith Dare journey, the Lord has given me another chance to start again.  As I have now completed the second day of the journey, I have looked back on my 20+ year walk with my Lord and realize that I am still just an immature, timid, fretful child taking baby steps.

I don't believe that there is ever a time that isn't perfect to be challenged to deepen our faith and as I wrote yesterday, this is one of those perfect times.  Our lives are in big transitions, they are coming at once.  My second son graduated high school in June and in a few weeks leaves home (in Washington State) to go to college in Texas.  I am in the midst of a job change, and I have no idea what our "new normal" will look like.

I finished my Faith Dare entry with the new (and yet old) inspiration to once again grab hold of my Father's hand and let Him guide me into another level of walking.  And so this idea becomes the title for my blog and my life now.  One of the things He has led me to do is to publish my journey in this setting. And so I will come and follow my Lord, even though I have questions about why a blog?  There are so many blogs out there why do I need to do one? As Peter and Debbie Alsdorf says,  "But because you say so I will".
